Being Patient Can Pay Off….

Boat Ramp in Wickford
Boat Ramp in Wickford

Those that know me well know that I am impulsive, loud and impatient.

Photography has forced me to be otherwise. (As well as marriage)  This scene was preceded by much low level fog.  I was actually looking for the sun to rise to the horizon and present a glow through the clouds, but that did not happen in the fashion I was hoping.  That is one of the many great things about photography, you don’t always get what you want or expect…and that can be a good thing!

Typically, I like to drive, ride a bike or walk a trail with my camera.  Rarely do I just sit and wait.  Today I forced myself to stay in one spot which presented an opportunity to meet a few people including the owner of this boat.  This shot was between him entering the vessel into the water and him parking his vehicle and trailer.

I got a cool picture, met a nice stranger and a decent story.

Not a bad morning.
