August. 3am. Perseids and Point Judith.
When I go on these early morning adventures I mostly look for quiet and interesting skies. One of my favorite places is Galilee and Point Judith as it is peaceful, but oddly active. Fishing vessels leaving port at 3am to get a jump on a day of fishing.
I do not know much about fishing, but it has always interested me. I feel it could have been another career and I really admire the courage to venture off into the darkness even with all the technology available.
Watching the shooting stars overhead only added to the scene. But more on the Perseids next week……
