Game 1 – South Coast Hockey League Playoffs – SRI Rams vs. Warwick Waves
After giving up the first goal of the game to the Waves, the Rams came back firing. Taking a 3-1 lead most of the way through the first period. With a 4-3 lead into the third period and the Waves putting on the pressure. However, the Rams were able to keep the puck away from their net-minder and opened up 5 additional goals in the final period for a 9-3 win!

Deep Freeze Mite Tournament at Waterville Valley
A 4-day hockey tournament (3-day for those of us that didn’t make the finals or semis) nestled in the heart of Waterville Valley. Held at a rink that was colder than the 6°F that was whipping around outside, 6-9 year olds battled on full ice to prove their skills against other teams in New England. Skiing, tubing, snowball fights, pancakes, pools, hot-tubs, knee hockey, arcades, rooms filled with flatulence – mostly by kids…. Hockey – Day 10,385 – The Halfway Point…SRI Mite Wales White & Blue
Hockey is a long season. So, so long. Starts in September and ends somewhere in March. The holidays do not give much reprieve from the grind and the season really picks up in January. We’re almost in the major sprint of the season. While the days are short in light, we parents are banished into the bowels of rinks across the region dressed in many layers (I still in shorts….mostly) cheering on, napping and/or ignoring our other children who are running around the bleachers or finding every nook and cranny to hide in the building….
